Dear Friend,
Two years ago today, we launched the 7/10 Black Workers Center — a bold initiative rooted in Prince George’s County, focused on organizing Black workers and fighting for economic justice, especially for those who’ve been incarcerated and excluded from opportunities.
Since then, we’ve: -
Helped dozens of workers prepare for and enter high-wage union careers in the trades.
- Built partnerships with unions and county agencies to expand career pipelines.
-
Advocated for — and won — policies like minimum wage indexing that raise the floor for everyone.
- Connected residents returning from incarceration with mentors, training, and meaningful support on their path to stability.
And we’re not done yet. Will you chip in today to help us continue building power with Black workers in Maryland? |
Your support will help us expand our pre-apprenticeship program, increase our outreach, and advocate for economic policies that truly benefit working-class Black families, not wealthy developers.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s keep going. In solidarity, The Progressive Maryland Team
