Attorney General Nessel urges consumers to never give out personal or financial information to unsolicited callers. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and contact the department directly.

Unlike cash, cryptocurrency lacks regulation and investor protections. Before using or investing, understand the risks, avoid pressure to “act fast,” and never trust anonymous tips or unsolicited messages promising big returns.
