We are halfway through the year and only 3 months away from November, so we wanted to reach out and give you an update about our programs.

In 2025, NPPEF continues to conduct year-round voter registration, civic education, and mobilization, centering Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, immigrant communities, and the youth (17-34). Our staff engages our centered communities around the importance of registering to vote and voting your values in every election, including this year’s local, municipal, and judicial elections. NPPEF staff consistently engages community members and eligible voters through voter registration and civic education efforts on the ground across five focused regions covering 20 counties. Our staff has attended multicultural community events, including MLK Day of Action, National Voter Registration Day, Juneteenth, Pride, and others, engaging in meaningful conversations with Pennsylvanians about the importance of participating in the democratic process and assisting eligible Pennsylvanians in registering to vote.

As of July 8, 2025, NPPEF has assisted close to 4,000 Pennsylvanians in registering to vote on the ground.

Here is a look at what else we’ve been up to:

For the first time in our organization's history, NPPEF ran a non-partisan Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) door-knocking program for the May Primary Election from May 9, 2025, to May 20, 2025, across five regions, which included:

Western PA (Allegheny/Beaver)

Capital (Dauphin/York)

Collars (Montgomery/Bucks/Chester/Delaware)

Lehigh Valley/NEPA (Lehigh/Luzerne/Monroe/Northampton);

and Philadelphia.

At the completion of this GOTV program, NPPEF knocked on 10,644 doors and mobilized many Pennsylvanians to the polls for the May 20th Primary Election.

Additionally, through the Why Courts Matter - PA campaign, a project of the New PA Project Education Fund, NPPEF seeks to protect the independence of our state and federal courts and educate the electorate about their importance. NPPEF has organized and hosted community engagement events discussing how courts’ decisions impact our daily lives by showing real-life examples of cases heard at the appellate level of PA’s courts.

Additionally, through the Why Courts Matter - PA campaign, a project of the New PA Project Education Fund, NPPEF is seeking to protect the independence of our state and federal courts and educate the electorate about their importance. NPPEF has organized and hosted community engagement events discussing how courts’ decisions impact our daily lives by showing real-life examples of cases heard at the appellate level of PA’s courts.

At NPPEF, we are continuing to provide non-partisan civic education around the retention elections for the three PA Supreme Court justices in the November General Election – and we need your help to keep up the momentum.
