I'm writing today to update you on the exciting work we've started to build a stronger Democratic Party -- and how you can help us. 

At the State Convention I met hundreds of Oklahoma's fiercest Democrats who were fired up and ready to break the Republican supermajority. 

Democrats I met were eager to take on the Trump Administration's lies and lawlessness. 

And everyone I met wanted to know how we will stop Ryan Walters from getting a promotion, and send him packing back to McAlester. 

There is renewed energy within the Oklahoma Democratic Party.

We are united in our resolve to see more good-paying jobs created, keep rural hospitals open, fully fund our public schools, hold government accountable to the people, and ensure every Oklahoman can pursue the American dream.

My goal is to make the Oklahoma Democratic Party an Arsenal of Democracy. 

As the Axis Powers advanced around the world, President Franklin Roosevelt coined this phrase in a fireside chat in 1940 to describe the steadfast support the United States would give to the Allies in their fight against fascism. 

The Oklahoma Democratic Party must become such an Arsenal of Democracy. 

We will build a State Party that clearly, loudly, and passionately advocates for Democratic candidates and values across the entire State. 

We will build a State Party that works hand in hand to equip Democratic candidates with the best tools, data, and support to win campaigns, flip red seats, and push back rightwing extremism.

We will build a State Party that aggressively supports the local, grassroots organizing of our County Parties and Federations. 

We will lead the charge in registering new Democrats, and in engaging voters who have been left behind by the Republicans auctioning our State and Nation off to the highest bidder.

Just this week I reached out to longtime Democrats looking to secure a new generation of Democratic leadership and talent in Oklahoma. Together we helped raise enough money to send the YDO delegation to their National Convention in Philadelphia.

I know so many of you have supported the Party in the run up to Convention or gave to the Carl Albert Dinner. 

But today is the day to fuel the programs that will build a Democratic resurgence in Oklahoma.
