John,

Kneecap and Bob Vylan have come under widespread international condemnation for their hate-fueled, extremist rhetoric.

Their conduct at Glastonbury Music Festival, including chants of “Death to the IDF” and the display of a Hezbollah flag at a London show—clearly violates Canadian hate speech laws and contradicts our core values.

Too often, we have seen how violent words lead to violent actions. Join us in calling on the Government of Canada to bar their entry from Canada—it’s a matter of public safety.

Kneecap is scheduled to perform in Toronto and Vancouver this fall, yet Canadian authorities have not clearly stated whether they will be allowed to spread their hate in our country.

While Bob Vylan has no Canadian shows planned, the federal government must act now to prevent their future entry into Canada.

Some of our G7 allies have already taken steps to uphold public safety: the U.K. has launched criminal investigations, and the U.S. State Department revoked their visas.

Canada has to step up.

Last week, CIJA wrote to the government of Canada urging authorities to deny entry to both U.K.-based bands.

Nowwe need your help.

As Jewish communities face rising antisemitism and security concerns here and around the world, the government must act decisively to ensure Canada does not become a platform for extremism or hate speech.

Sincerely,

Howard Fremeth
VP, Communications
