Team,

I just left the Senate floor, where I gave my 300th speech calling for action to lead the planet to climate safety and shining a light on the creepy climate denial operation.

Over the past 13 years, I’ve stood with a chart that reads “TIME TO WAKE UP.” I returned to the floor, no matter what else was going on in the world, to try to wake my Republican colleagues to the threat bearing down on our only planet. The science is undeniable and the silence across the aisle in Congress is inexcusable.

This 300th speech is bittersweet.

On one hand, I shouldn’t have needed to fight this hard for this long. Congress should’ve solved the climate crisis by now. But I am persistent. And while it hasn’t been linear or fast enough, many things have moved in the right direction.

The climate crisis is no longer a warning – it’s an emergency. From Rhode Island’s rising sea levels to megafires to deadly flooding, Americans are living through hardship we had every chance to prevent.

Americans have a right to be mad about the polluters endangering our children’s futures. They have a right to be mad about the dark-money corruption of the Republican Party and the Supreme Court.

I’ve spent thirteen years fighting all of it so that we might have a shot to lead the planet to climate safety.

If we are going to meet this moment – if we are going to break the grip of fossil fuel money to elect leaders who will leave the next generation a safe, livable planet – we need you in this fight.

If you’re with me, chip in today.
