John -- it’s Elizabeth, Colin’s finance director. I wanted to take a moment to explain to you what our emails are going to look like in the next few days, because the next few days will be pivotal in determining what our campaign will look like leading up to November.

At the end of June, all campaigns are required to file the amount of money they raised for the quarter with the FEC. It’s publicly available, so campaigns use it as a show of strength -- and it means that, as we get closer to the end of the month, outside groups and corporate interests will be ramping up their spending in order to propel their preferred candidates to a strong finish.

Look, I’ll be upfront: those special interests are lining up behind our opponent, Genevieve Collins. And in order to defeat her on Election Day, we need to build a strong showing today, and for the rest of the month -- which means we need your help. Can you pitch in to our campaign and kickstart our FEC deadline goals to prove our campaign is stronger than outside interests?

This is a campaign built by people like you, John.

We are fighting for increased access to affordable health care, repairing our economy and ensuring it works for everyone, and building a more inclusive, just country. These are the values that shape the way we campaign for TX-32, and it’s why we rely on grassroots support. This campaign is focused on delivering for the people of North Texas -- and I know that with your help, we can prove that outside interests can’t take this seat from us.

That’s why we’re focusing so much on this important FEC deadline-- and why, in the coming days, we’ll be pushing hard to meet our goals and ensure the public knows just how powerful our campaign is.

So please, if you’re able, chip in to our campaign and give our end-of-quarter fundraising goal a head start. We can’t do this without you.
