Last week, Trump’s Big Ugly Bill became law. This bill will not only be detrimental to those in need but also to our economy as a whole, potentially costing Ohio over 40,000 jobs.

As Shontel has said,“This is what happens when you prioritize the wealthy over everyone else.”

According to the Ohio Capital Journal, deep cuts made to Medicaid and SNAP will wipe out jobs, stifle state economies, and diminish tax revenues that state and local governments depend on. That’s not all: This bill will “destroy 1.2 million jobs in the United States by 2029 and shrink state economies by $154 billion.”

What were Republicans thinking? They wanted to take away health care and food security for millions of Americans in order to give handouts to the megawealthy. The American people deserve better.

We need to hold Republicans accountable for pushing this bill at the behest of our wannabe king. Let’s send this message loud and clear: Come after our families; we’re coming after your seats.
