Recently, I packed the house for a town hall in Wichita, Kansas, where Republican Rep. Ron Estes has REFUSED to face his constituents.
Over 1,500 of Rep. Estes’ constituents showed up. The congressman? Nowhere to be found.
It’s clear: Working people are pissed off. They see that Republicans are rigging our economy against us with a bill that will literally destroy millions of livelihoods.
But the people are still not backing down. They’re showing up, and they’re getting louder.
Because it doesn’t matter if your district is red or blue. Your elected officials should give a damn about you.
Well, I give a damn. That’s why I’m holding town halls in red districts across the country – because while Republicans hide and vote to cut SNAP and Medicaid, working people are coming together. And thanks to you, I’m right there with them.
