Last week, House Republicans passed legislation that slashes Medicaid by nearly $1 trillion.
My opponent David Valadao voted for it.
This is an attack on families like mine.
In May, I fasted in protest as MAGA Republicans moved to gut Medicaid, because I know what it would mean for our community. I personally relied on it growing up, just like nearly 70% of folks here in CA-22 rely on Medi-Cal today.
Valadao broke his promise and betrayed over two-thirds of our district who depend on Medi-Cal to survive. He made a choice. He chose a party over people. Billionaires over the Central Valley. Again.
This is personal. For me. For my students. For the thousands of families across CA-22 who are scared right now about what this means.
But we can fight back and we can flip his seat. Because with his vote, Valadao is more vulnerable than ever and has proved he doesn’t deserve to stay in power.
