Joe Biden has condemned the president’s continued use of the phrase “Chinese virus,” a slur Trump has refused to part with even as vulnerable AAPIs cry out for a respite from the acts of hate that have been perpetrated on them since the beginning of the crisis.
And Joe has committed to investing in the AAPI community -- increasing federal funds that go to AAPI small business owners, increasing access to health care and the ballot box for the 33% of AAPI Americans who are limited English proficient, and increasing the number of AAPI voices in federal agencies and on the federal bench.
If we don’t stand together, we’ll never see those changes -- because instead, we’ll be staring down four more years of Trump.
