Hi -

Imagine being in a crowd of people, with no clue who around you could be
carrying a hidden, loaded gun with no questions asked.

Sounds like a nightmare, right?

But it's a reality that over 200 Republicans in Congress are pushing by
co-sponsoring a dangerous bill gutting our state gun laws. [ [link removed] ]Learn more

Many states have common sense requirements and standards in place for who
can carry a concealed, loaded gun in public. The strongest among them
require a permit, background check, and safety training—and also block
people who have been convicted of violent crimes or pose a danger to the
public.

But there are states with much weaker requirements and standards, and some
that don't have any at all.

Congress' Concealed Carry Mandate would force states to recognize the
concealed carry standards of every other state—even those with no
standards at all.

That means people who have never handled a gun before or have dangerous
histories—violent criminals, domestic abusers, even convicted
stalkers—could carry hidden, loaded guns in public in states that wouldn't
otherwise let them.

how you can take action to stop it.
