New on the County Channel

If the population of Los Angeles County’s unincorporated areas was combined into a standalone city, it would have more residents than Long Beach, Santa Clarita, and Glendale—combined! That’s right. The County has more than 120 unincorporated areas, with a total population of about 1 million residents. Free Support with Veteran Affairs Benefits
 Know a veteran in need of assistance with benefits? The LA County Department of Military & Veterans Affairs provides free support with Veterans Affairs benefits, state veterans’ benefits, homeless services, legal assistance, California driver’s license veteran designation, and the CalVet College Fee Waiver Program.
Veterans can receive help Monday through Friday at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, located at 1816 S. Figueroa Street in Los Angeles. To find other Military & Veterans Affairs field locations or speak with a representative, call 877-4LA-VETS (877-452-8387).

Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series
The Marina del Rey Summer Symphony presents Disney and Pixar’s Coco in Concert Live to Film, featuring Coco’s musical score by Oscar® and GRAMMY®-winning composer Michael Giacchino performed live along to the film.

DPSS Launches Annual Backpack Drive to Benefit Local Students
 The Department of Public Social Services Toy Loan Program is hosting its annual Backpack and School Supply Drive now through the end of July 2025 to benefit low-income children in L.A. County. Toy Loan serves approximately 30,000 residents annually at over 30 locations. Donate backpacks and school supplies today by calling (323) 986-2741 or emailing [email protected]. The deadline to donate is Thursday, July 31, 2025.
