Substantial Damage Inspection Workshop

The Nebraska Floodplain Management Division and NeFSMA are excited to bring you this FREE workshop in conjunction with the NeFSMA Annual Conference. During this course, attendees will learn the basics of substantial damage requirements under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), as well as more advanced topics such as:

• Completing substantial damage inspections
• Using FEMA’s Substantial Damage Estimator 3.0 tool
• Building a database of structures in the floodplain
• Communicating substantial damage requirements to your community members, and
• Creating a substantial damage management plan

Attendees will also gain valuable hands-on experience with conducting in-field substantial damage inspections using real world examples; a training format that has not been offered before by the  Floodplain Management team.
