Hello John,

The One Big Beautiful Bill is the law of the land!

The OBBB is more than just legislation. It’s a game-changing step toward a
prosperous and secure America. Before we get into all of what’s in the bill, we
need to say a word about how House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority
Leader John Thune were able to deliver the goods with suchslim majorities in
both chambers.

To get the bill done by the July 4 deadline was truly remarkable.

Between now and going into 2026, you will be hearing a lot from OBBB opponents
about“gutting Medicaid” and “tax cuts for the rich.”

Baloney.

Here’s what the OBBB means for our country and why it matters to you and your
family:

Avoiding the biggest tax hike in American history. Perhaps the most important
part of the OBBB is that it prevents what would have been the largest tax
increase in U.S. history.

By making many provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent, this
bill ensures certainty and stability for American taxpayers.

* Extended income tax brackets and deductions mean working families and small
businesses can breathe easier, knowing their hard-earned money stays where it
belongs — in their pockets.
* The new law also makes permanent full expensing for most categories of
business investment. This is a huge win. Full expensing is designed to
encourage business investment, stimulate economic growth, and simplify tax
compliance. The expensing provisions in the 2017 Trump tax cuts excluded
investments in factories and buildings and began phasing out in 2023, so the
OBBB is a big improvement.
Strengthening our borders. The Trump administration has made securing
America’s borders a priority, but more resources are needed to do the job. Here
are the highlights:

* $170 billion for border security and deportations
* $46.5 billion for a border wall
* $45 billion to add 100,000 migrant detention beds
* $29.9 billion for 10,000 new ICE officers, $7.8 billion for 3,000 new
Border Patrol agents, and $3.3 billion for more immigration judges and staff
Unleashing American energy independence. Under President Biden’s
administration, the push forcostly green energy programs ignored the needs of
families struggling with rising energy costs.

This law reverses course — in a big way. It removes taxpayer handouts for
ineffective green initiatives and sets the country back on track toenergy
dominance. Investments in domestic oil and gas production will not only lower
energy bills but also create thousands of good-paying American jobs.

Empowering small businesses. Our economy’s backbone has always been small
businesses, and the One Big Beautiful Bill sets them up for success. Through
provisions likefull equipment expensing and increasing the deduction for small
business income, the bill provides entrepreneurs with the tools and incentives
they need to grow. When we support the builders, dreamers, and creators who
drive innovation, America wins.

Securing Medicaid, fighting fraud. Contrary to the left’s misleading claims,
the One Big Beautiful Bill does not “gut” Medicaid. Instead, it introduces
intelligent reforms toeliminate waste, fraud, and abuse from a program plagued
by inefficiencies. Medicaid’s annual spending will continue to increase under
this bill while ensuring that funds are used responsibly to assist the neediest
members of our society.

Building on this victory. Earlier, I praised Speaker Johnson and Majority
Leader Thune for their work on the OBBB.

Now I want to praise someone else — you.

I feel confident saying that no other organization put more time, effort, and
money into making this happen than the grassroots activists at Americans for
Prosperity.

Please take a moment to watch a short video on the impact that activists like
you had on passing a bill that will protect prosperity for generations to come.

AFP hosted 1,500+ meetings with key congressional leaders, knocked on 500,000+
doors, made almost as many phone calls, and held more than 700 community events
. And now that the bill is passed, AFP plans to defend those who took tough
votes to support the president’s tax agenda.

That’s what successful grassroots activism looks like, so thank you!

While the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill is a major win for American
families, thework doesn’t stop here. With record-high federal debt and ongoing
challenges in our economy, we need to continue to hold Washington accountable.

Your voice is crucial to making that happen. Stand with us as we push for even
bolder reforms grounded in conservative solutions.

Thank you for your continued support,

Best regards,

Joe Eule
