To some, Bove’s known as the guy who fired dozens of federal prosecutors involved in charging January 6th rioters. To others, he is the man who helped New York City Mayor Eric Adams dodge a slew of corruption charges. And to his former colleagues, he’s reportedly known as a “prosecutor version of a drunk driver—completely reckless and out of control.”
Bove has a documented history of unethical and abusive behavior, from hiding evidence and lying in court to being investigated for abusive, angry behavior towards his colleagues. In fact, there’s a scathing whistleblower disclosure that covers all the sordid details—and Trump is desperate to bury it.

The list of ways Bove is terrible seems neverending. He was at the center of efforts to mislead judges and carry out Trump’s illegal deportations in violation of federal court orders. He even suggested the Justice Department should ignore court orders to advance Trump’s extreme deportation agenda, reportedly stating they should tell the courts “f--- you” and defy the law.
In our opinion, Bove needs to be known as the man whose nomination was defeated because our leaders could not ignore our voices. Bove’s stained reputation should precede him.
