John,
In case you missed it, Trump’s Big Ugly Bill will do more damage than anyone’s talking about.
Sure, there’s been plenty of coverage about the headline policies, but hidden deep within the bill is a massive attack on public education.
The worst part? We’re not just fighting one bill. This is part of a larger strategy to undermine public education from Congress to the classroom.
It’s more important than ever that we are electing School Board members that will fight for our values. That’s why I started School Board Integrity Project. Fighting back starts in our local communities. We need another 521 people to join us this week to help us fight back. Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can now? [link removed]

The Big Ugly Bill includes a nationwide voucher-style tax-credit scholarship program, allowing wealthy donors to fund private-school scholarships with tax-deductible contributions.
Here’s what’s at stake:
$5 billion a year will funnel into private schools at the expense of your local public schools.
Public schools that are governed by local school boards, the very people we elect to protect our communities, will be vulnerable to closure, especially in black, brown, and rural communities.
But we’re not backing down.
We have an opportunity to organize and act by focusing on school board elections, where the fight is happening right now.
We need to recruit, train, and elect school board members who will defend our public education system and stand up to these attacks.
Your donation of $5 will go a long way in helping us train candidates and help their campaigns win. Will you join us by chipping in now? [link removed]

Currently active in 38 states, we’re building a nationwide network of leaders dedicated to defending public education and ensuring every student has the freedom to learn, grow, and thrive. We need to grow our organization to all 50 states, but we need your help. Please consider giving a donation of $5 or more today. [link removed]
