The Trump Administration is attacking climate action and threatening to roll back critical progress for our planet.
This Administration’s efforts to silence critical, science-based information on climate will do nothing to change the physical reality outside our doors. But they will ensure the American people don’t get the information they need to protect their communities.
Here’s what you need to know.
1. NO CLIMATE SCIENCE, NO CLIMATE SAFETY
The Trump Administration wants to slash NASA’s scientific funding by nearly 50%, impairing scientific progress for meaningful climate action.
NASA has long been a leader in climate science. Dismantling NASA’s scientific research won’t change the realities of climate change, but it will ensure the American people don’t get some of the information they may need in order to fully prepare for and protect their families and communities from the worsening impacts of the climate crisis.
Thanks to scientific research from agencies like NASA, we know the realities of climate change. Agencies like NASA are more important to our well-being that ever.

2. SILENCING CLIMATE SCIENCE TO PROTECT POLLUTERS
After cutting funding for scientific research, the Trump Administration has issued an executive order “Restoring Gold Standard Science.”
The executive order outlines a new level of government oversight of science, effectively dictating what government scientists can and cannot do and condemning research the Administration doesn’t agree with. It in effect may keep people from hearing about the full scientific reality of climate change for the benefit of fossil fuel polluting corporate interests.
The executive order gives the Trump administration the authority to deny reality and distort the truth. Thanks to science, we have the tools to leave fossil fuels behind. That’s exactly what this administration is afraid of.

3. ATTACKS ON SCIENCE ARE ATTACKS ON WOMEN'S SAFETY
In addition to phrases like “climate science” and “climate crisis,” words like “female” and “women” also trigger National Science Foundation (NSF) funding reviews under the Trump administration.
Women face greater risk in the face of the climate crisis and are more vulnerable to extreme weather events like dangerous storms and floods. Thanks to science, we know when dangerous storms, fires, and floods are coming and how to prepare.
Attacks on climate science potentially leave women at even greater risk of climate impacts. Show you stand for science now. [[link removed]]
