Friend — Another day, another outrageous and hateful statement from Republican members of Congress.

And this certainly isn’t the first time for Rep. Fine.

Before he came to Congress he tweeted a threat at myself and Rashida Tlaib. He said we should consider leaving before he arrived and #BombsAway. He suggested on live TV that Gaza should be nuked. He has even celebrated the death of Palestinian children responding to an image of a deceased child with “Thanks for the pic!” Even Marjorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson condemned him for this. And now he is calling me a “Muslim terrorist.”

Friend, this level of hatred and Islamophobia is completely unacceptable for a member of Congress. I am asking you to join me today in supporting a formal censure against Rep. Fine in the House of Representatives for his dangerous remarks. Please, add your name to my petition:

Let me be absolutely clear: What Rep. Fine tweeted last night is a thinly-veiled death threat.

Benjamin Netanyahu has directed the mass murder of tens of thousands of Palestinians — hundreds of thousands in some recent estimates. These are innocent civilians who have been sentenced to either death or an existence of starvation and trauma by the Israeli military’s brutal assault of the Gaza strip.

By calling them my “fellow Muslim terrorists,” Rep. Fine is telling us that he doesn’t see any Palestinians as civilians, but rather targets. And he’s telling us that he thinks me and other Muslims deserve the same fate.

This is the state of much of the Republican party under Trump. Hateful, racist, violent, and completely devoid of compassion for their fellow human beings.

If they have any moral fiber left in their bodies, Republicans would call on Randy Fine to resign. But we all know they won’t, which is why I’m asking for your help in pushing for a formal censure in the House.

Please, sign on to my petition today calling for Rep. Fine to be censured for his violent rhetoric and racist comments against myself and millions of Muslim Americans. People like this have no business serving in government or making decisions that impact the lives of Americans.

No matter the amount of vitriol and hate they throw my way, I will never back down.
