My Republican opponent David Valadao just broke his promise and voted for Trump’s budget -- slashing nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid and gutting critical services for thousands of working families here in the Central Valley.

Nearly 70% of our district relies on Medi-Cal. That includes my family, students, and nearly everyone I grew up with. Valadao knows this. That’s what makes this vote so spineless, shameful, and so personal.
Just months ago, Valadao promised he would never support a bill that cuts Medicaid for vulnerable communities. He even put it in writing.
Well, he lied.
And today, he showed us exactly who he works for: billionaires and party bosses, not the people he was elected to represent.
This is one of the most devastating betrayals in our district’s history. And in the district hardest-hit by this bill in the entire country -- it could cost lives.
I’m in this race for the working people who’ve been ignored and exploited for too long. Valadao's vote cannot go unpunished, and together we can kick him out for good.
