Friend,
I want you to know that I’m working hard for Central and Southern Illinois despite the noise in Washington. That’s why today I’m passing along an update on what I’ve been up to in the district.
I’d be grateful if you could read my message the whole way through, but if you’re short on time I understand, and I’d appreciate a
donation of $3 to move us forward.
It’s with your continued support that I am able to do this work.
Thank you,
Nikki
There’s a lot of confusion about the passage of the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” and what it means for IL-13. I hosted a call for local healthcare stakeholders to strategize how to best protect this community – because we deserve better, and I won’t back down.
I was proud to celebrate the Fourth of July marching in the Champaign County Freedom Celebration Parade alongside this incredible community.
Late last month, I hosted a ‘Take Action’ meeting in Piatt County. I talked about what the Big Ugly Bill means for working families, how I’m fighting back, and how we all can get involved in strengthening our communities.
During my April town hall, I was particularly moved by Mary and Rachel’s story – a Springfield teacher and her daughter who relies on Medicaid. Please click

I’m continuing to reach out to folks across the district, and advocate for our future on everything from fighting for Medicaid and SNAP to demanding at least $500 million in investment at Granite City Works.
Our fight is far from over. I hope you’ll continue to stand with me as I work toward progress for working families at home, in Washington, and beyond.
Thank you!
Nikki
