The Black Advocates Action Fund is seeking to raise $30,000 to fully fund a Young Advocates Capitol Day titled, Our Voice. Our Power. Our Future: Black Young Advocates Leading for Policy, Justice, and Economic Equity.
They’re seeking to bring 100 young people ages 18 to 35 to Capitol Hill and facilitate 20+ meetings with congressional offices on an advocacy platform developed by young people, focused on issues of justice and economic equity.

Supporting Young Advocates is essential to preserving our democracy and sustaining the progressive infrastructure that has been built to ensure and preserve policies rooted in justice, equity, and lived experience. This event creates the pipeline, the platform, and the visibility to make that future real.

Your donation will go toward travel, lodging, food, materials, training kits, and speaker stipends. Young people will come away empowered through advocacy, education, and civic action―and through the personal connections they’ll make with one another, members of Congress, and civic leaders.
At a time when democratic norms are being torn to shreds, we need to ensure young people are engaged in defending our democracy for their own future and for generations to come.
