Hi John,
Prime Minister Mark Carney wants to ban new gas and diesel vehicle sales by 2035 and you must act now before it's too late.
This ban could cost taxpayers like you nearly $300 billion by 2040, according to a federal report. And that doesn’t even include the impact of the skyrocketing cost of electricity.
For families already struggling, this is the last thing they need. More taxes, bigger electricity bills, less affordable options at the car dealerships.
The CEOs of Ford, GM and Stellantis say families will be stuck with fewer, more expensive and less reliable options, especially since Ottawa wants one in five cars sold to be electric by 2026.
You read that right: Ottawa wants to start phasing in the ban on new gas and diesel vehicles next year.
Carney is charging ahead anyway.
Opposition MP Melissa Lantsman tried to scrap the ban by pushing a motion in Parliament, but government MPs shut it down.
Another vote could come this fall, but we can’t just wait for it to happen – we need an army of taxfighters ready to stand up NOW.
By adding your name to this petition, you’ll help us ramp up the pressure on Prime Minister Carney to scrap his ban. Just like with the carbon tax fight, we’ll use every tool, every voice, and every opportunity to force him to back down – before Canadians are forced to pay the price.
Will you sign the PETITION to stop the ban on new gas and diesel vehicles?
We, the undersigned, call on the prime minister not to ban gas and diesel vehicles.
Note: If the automatic link doesn’t work on your device, you can also sign the petition here: www.taxpayer.com/petitions/no-ban-on-gas-and-diesel-vehicles
If you’ve already signed the petition, will you forward this petition to one more taxfighter because you need everyone doing their part to win this fight?
Growing up in the country taught me one thing: gas vehicles aren’t a luxury – they’re a lifeline.
Politicians need to wake up and see that for millions of Canadians, banning them isn’t an option – it’s a direct attack on their way of life.
Thanks for standing up for taxpayers – you’re making a difference.
All the best,
Nicolas Gagnon
