I am outraged by what I saw this week, just outside of our district in MacArthur Park:

These are armed officers, standing alongside and atop mounted weapons – In the middle of a park in Los Angeles.

This isn’t border enforcement. It isn’t making our communities safer.

And yesterday wasn’t a one-off. I know you all are seeing the same videos as I of masked, unidentifiable agents accosting law-abiding residents at Home Depots and on sidewalks.

In California, we have requirements that agents have their name or badge number visible at all times. And that needs to be respected, and taken to a national level. Because if we don’t have the ability to hold our law enforcement accountable, we can’t keep the public safe.

That’s why I’ve cosponsored the No Masks for ICE Act, which would bring California accountability to the national level for all enforcement agents. And today, I’m hoping for your solidarity in demanding that Congress bring this to the floor.

Sign on today to end masked ICE agents, and demand more accountability from those tasked with keeping us safe.

Sign today to demand – “No Masks for ICE!”

Thank you for standing up for our communities.
