I want to tell you about my cousin, Alex Schachter, who should have turned 22 years old today – if not for the gunman who murdered him and 16 others at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School seven years ago. And I want to explain the work Ban Assault Weapons Now is doing to END mass shootings and BAN assault weapons like the one that stole Alex. Today should be the 22nd birthday of my cousin and best friend, Alex Schachter.

But in 2018, Alex was murdered by a gunman with an AR-15 during the Parkland massacre.

Alex and I were just 14 when the shooting stole him and tore our family apart.

A few years ago, I marked Alex’s birthday by reminiscing with friends over a meal of chicken fettuccine alfredo, his favorite dish.

This year, I’m remembering Alex as I watch Trump and his cronies tear down the gun safety protections I’ve fought so hard for at every turn.

That’s why I’m determined to help BAWN replace vulnerable, gun-lobby-backed Republicans in swing districts who enable mass shootings like the Parkland massacre that stole Alex with bold gun safety Democrats.

But we need your help to make sure gun safety Democrats can flip the three Republican-held House seats we need to TOPPLE the MAGA Majority in Congress.
