I’m Toby Cain and I’m leading Abigail’s field team!

In a normal election year, we’d be out knocking on doors, attending festivals and events, marching in parades, and interacting face-to-face with people in Central Virginia. But this year, our voter outreach efforts have to look much different.

We’re creating new ways to reach potential voters and working harder than ever to bring all people into our campaign. In short, we’ve been focused on replicating the quality of interaction that was a hallmark of Abigail’s 2018 campaign, but without any physical contact.

Here’s what that looks like:

→ We’re making thousands of calls to voters in VA-07

→ We’re creating virtual community through office hours and open houses

→ We’re texting voters across Central Virginia

→ We're launching a digital voter registration program in July

This week, we even put out a virtual yard sign so that our supporters could “plant yard signs” all over the social media feeds of their friends and neighbors.

John, in order to pay for our ongoing field efforts and reach every single potential voter in VA-07, we need to hit our fundraising goals. We’ve got a major deadline at the end of this month.

I have set some very ambitious field goals for our field team and all of the volunteers. We need to hit each and every one of these goals if we’re going to win.
