Have you had trouble with the new NDIS "in" and "out" lists? We want to hear from you.
We’re running a survey to collect real stories and feedback about how the "in" and "out" lists are affecting people.
New NDIS rules are having an impact – we want to hear from you
On 3 October 2024, the NDIS changed the Section 10 rules to make it clearer what NDIS funds can and can't be used for.
There’s now an official list of things you can use your NDIS funds for, and a list of things you can’t. If you need something that’s not on the list, you have to apply for special approval.
These changes were meant to make things easier and clearer – but we’re hearing that for many people, they’ve created new challenges.
Here’s what people are telling us:
They’ve lost choice or flexibility in their plans They’re getting different answers from different people They’re finding it harder to stay healthy and independent People in regional areas and diverse communities face more barriers The process feels confusing, and people want clear information Some feel their feedback isn’t being heard
We’re collecting people’s experiences to include in a community submission to government. If these changes have affected you or someone you support, we’d really like to hear from you.
