Hi John,
Trump’s at it again – this time trying to yank over $1 billion from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which supports PBS and NPR.
That’s not just some D.C. budget tweak. That’s lights-out for local stations – especially in small towns and rural communities that depend on public radio for real news, weather alerts, and emergency info.
He doesn’t need a single Democratic vote to pull it off. All it takes is a simple majority – and Republicans have one, just barely. But if we can convince a few of them to do the right thing, we can shut this nonsense down.
But time’s running out. Congress has until July 18 to approve or reject the cuts. So I need to know what you think by MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. Will you take 60 seconds to answer this quick survey?
If Trump gets his way, here’s what happens:
👉 Rural stations go dark.
👉 Emergency broadcasts vanish.
👉 “News deserts” grow – and lies spread like wildfire.
It’s a straight-up attack on truth, community, and the little guy. He's counting on folks not paying attention. Let's prove him wrong.
Please, let me know where you stand by taking my public broadcasting survey now.
Thanks, John,
John ❤️
