Folks,

It’s been a few days since Donald Trump signed his Big, Ugly Bill into law and frankly, I can’t stop thinking about how disappointed I am with my Republican colleagues.

They knew it was a scam that would rip millions of Americans off their health insurance, raise prices for hardworking Virginians, explode the national debt, and gut our social safety net all to give tax breaks to the wealthiest in our country.

They knew it was wrong – my Republican friends told me so in private, and then voted for it anyway.

They sold out the American people to pay for tax cuts for billionaires because they don’t have the spine to stand up to Trump’s destructive policies – and this wasn’t the first time.

Behind closed doors, my Republican colleagues encourage me to keep speaking out against the dangers of this Trump administration. One colleague even told me “Mark, you’re like our conscience.”

I don’t want to be Republicans’ conscience. They need to vote their conscience.

While we couldn’t defeat the bill in Congress, we can defeat the politicians who passed it in the midterms next year, flip the Senate, and finally put a check on Trump’s dangerous agenda.

Can I count on you to chip in today to help me hold my seat, keep Virginia blue, and take back the Senate for Democrats so we can hold Republicans accountable at the ballot box? [link removed]

The fight continues,

Mark Warner
