Last week, Donald Trump and his Republican cronies worked overtime to pass their Big Ugly Bill that rips healthcare away from 17 million Americans and endangers food support to 5 million more.

Additionally, the bill puts 1.75 million construction jobs at risk — all to the tune of $3 TRILLION added to the national debt.

And what is all this pain for? To fund tax breaks for their billionaire buddies.

The passage of this Big Ugly Bill is a massive giveaway to the wealthy and well-connected, paid for by hardworking Americans. It’s a national disgrace.

Frustratingly, this legislation could not have passed without the support of Republican representatives here in California.

These California Republicans in swing districts betrayed their constituents and voted YES:

➡️ Kevin Kiley (CA-03)

As agonizing as this moment is, our path forward is clear. We need to defeat these four Republicans who represent “tossup” or “lean” districts and take back control of the U.S. House in 2026.

These members of Congress had a choice: Represent their constituents by opposing this bill that strips away healthcare, or kiss the ring of Donald Trump. Cowering in fear, they decided to kiss the ring.

Well, now they get to be afraid of our organizing campaigns. Because when you betray our healthcare and interests, you lose your seat. Period.
