Dear A.,

Following a dinner meeting with President Trump last night, Prime Minister Netanyahu met this morning with Vice President J.D. Vance.

Netanyahu also met with House Speaker Mike Johnson earlier today, and he is expected to meet tomorrow with Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

"The Prime Minister and I discussed America’s commitment to Israel’s security and our shared goal of achieving a ceasefire agreement in Gaza that is righteous, enduring, and rooted in the principle of peace through strength. America and Israel’s strong stand in the 12-Day War dealt a devastating blow to the greatest enemy of peace in the region, leaving the Iranian regime weaker than at any point in decades. We are hopeful that this marks the dawn of a new chapter of peace in the Middle East."

Netanyahu is meeting with President Trump again this afternoon to

continue discussions on the hostage-ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.

"We’re going to be talking about… almost exclusively Gaza," Trump said earlier today.

"We’ve got to get that solved. Gaza is a tragedy. And [Netanyahu] wants to get it solved, and I want to get it solved, and I think the other side wants to get it solved."

Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, representing the United States at the negotiating table, said, "We are hopeful that by the end of this week, we will have an agreement that will bring us into a 60-day ceasefire," adding, "We’re meeting at the president’s direction, with all the hostage families to let them know, and we think this will lead to a lasting peace in Gaza."

The United States must continue to stand with Israel as our ally works to end the threat from Gaza and secure the release of all 50 hostages still held in Hamas captivity.

killed in a Houthi attack on the Liberian-flagged cargo ship "Eternity C" yesterday.

The attack on this ship follows a Houthi attack on the vessel "Magic Seas" on Sunday.

"The United States condemns the terrorist Houthi militia's reckless and ruthless ongoing attack Eternity C commercial vessel... the Houthis are once again showing blatant disregard for human life, undermining freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, defy [Security Council] demands, and threatening regional stability," the U.S. Embassy in Yemen

GHF aid efforts continue

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation

distributed nearly 1.5 million meals in Gaza today, for a total of 66 million meals to date.

GHF's aid efforts continue unabated despite a Hamas attack on two of its American contractors over the weekend.

"As the number of meals delivered continues to grow, the heart of our mission remains the same: getting food into the hands of those who need it most. We are operating in one of the most difficult environments in the world, yet our team continues to show up, deliver, and scale operations. GHF is here to feed the people in Gaza and we will not be pulled off course – by disinformation, intimidation, or distraction. We remain focused and committed to the life-saving work ahead," GHF Interim Executive Director John Acree said.

Meanwhile, Reuters news agency issued a

correction for false reporting about GHF's work.

"We’ve seen this pattern play out before, from the Washington Post to NBC News. This is only the latest example of inaccurate, agenda-driven coverage of GHF being used to distort and distract from our one mission to meet the urgent and overwhelming needs of the population in Gaza," GHF said in response.

killed and 14 others wounded in a Hamas attack in northern Gaza.

The fallen soldiers are Staff Sgt. Meir Shimon Amar, 20, Sgt. Moshe Nissim Frech, 20, Staff Sgt. Noam Aharon Musgadian, 20, Staff Sgt. Moshe Shmuel Noll, 21, and Sgt. First Class (res.) Benyamin Asulin, 28.

May their memories be a blessing.

"On this difficult morning, the entire people of Israel bow their heads and mourn the deaths of our heroic fighters, who sacrificed their lives in the campaign to defeat Hamas and free all of our hostages. We embrace the families who lost their loved ones, and pray for the full recovery of those wounded in the incident," Prime Minister Netanyahu said.

The United States must continue to stand with Israel as our ally works to end the threat from Gaza and dismantle Hamas' terror infrastructure.

African countries form pro-Israel parliamentary groups

Six African countries — Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Lesotho, Seychelles, Gabon and Guinea Conakry — have launched pro-Israel parliamentary caucuses, aiming to deepen diplomatic, economic, and faith-based ties with Israel.

"The creation of these six new caucuses is more than a diplomatic milestone; it is a powerful affirmation of our shared biblical values and a forward-looking vision for partnership, prosperity and peace…This is faith-based diplomacy in action—uniting nations around common moral principles and a mutual commitment to stand with Israel," Josh Reinstein, president of the Israel Allies Foundation,
