On July 15th, Adelita faces a competitive Democratic primary for Arizona's 7th Congressional District, and it's one of the most consequential races in the nation right now.

Adelita’s running to become the first Latina ever elected to Congress from Arizona. But she’s not just running to make history — she’s running to make a difference.

Her roots run deep in Southern Arizona. She grew up in Tucson, graduated from the University of Arizona, and has spent her life fighting for the very community she's now running to represent in Congress.

She’s also the proud daughter of Raúl Grijalva — one of Congress’s most steadfast progressive champions for working people and the planet. Now, at a time when Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are attacking everything from the air we breathe to the future of Social Security, Adelita isn’t just continuing her father’s legacy — she’s forging her own, with the same fierce conviction and deep love for her community.
