Over the weekend, flash flooding in Texas killed more than 100 people,
while many more are still missing.
The flood destroyed homes and businesses, and has left many Texans
displaced and unsure of what comes next.
While some have called the flooding “historic” and a “once-in-a-lifetime”
natural disaster, the truth is that disasters like these are becoming
increasingly more common as the climate crisis accelerates. And it’s
working people and communities that tend to suffer the most.
Survivors face a lengthy recovery and could use your help right
now, John.
Families need safe shelter, hot meals, dry clothes, and clean water as
they begin to rebuild their lives and communities.
