The GOP budget is a hot mess, and I’m not going to shut up about it.
We have a moral responsibility to help children, elders, and the most vulnerable — but Republicans (who always act holier than thou when it suits them) would rather give the ultra-wealthy and corporations a tax break.
This bill is more than just cruelty. It’s about a broken Washington where corporations treat legislators like pawns..
Someone has to stand up and say, NO!

I've spent my career championing policies that help children and families, from the Children’s Defense Fund to the Minnesota House and now as Lt. Governor. We've made historic progress with paid family leave, raising the minimum wage, free school meals, and investments in housing.
I don’t have to tell you that there’s more work to be done - every one of us can feel what we’re up against. But we can't do it with leaders who ignore the real lives of the people they serve.
We need bold action, not the same old status quo. We need to reverse this disastrous budget bill AND create something better.
