🏛 From the Desk of Congresswoman Nancy Mace As your Representative in Washington, we are working every day to fight for our Lowcountry values. This newsletter is your inside look at what’s happening in D.C. and how our team is working to serve you right here at home. Whether it’s securing our borders, standing up for our military, or protecting your freedoms, we’ve got your back. Here’s what we’ve been working on in Washington: | Big Votes on the House Floor | President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Officially Signed Into Law We voted YES on the One Big Beautiful Bill, which President Trump signed into law on July 4th. This landmark legislation delivers the biggest tax cut in American history for the middle and working class, with over $10,000 in extra take-home pay for families. No tax on tips. No tax on overtime. This bill secures our border by finishing the wall and adding thousands of new ICE and Border Patrol agents. This is a historic win for American workers, taxpayers, and the rule of law. | Our Overnight MAGA Van Dash to Vote for Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill When severe weather shut down all flights to Washington, D.C. just hours before the vote on the One Big Beautiful Bill, we didn’t let it stop us. With the clock ticking, we found a Sprinter van and hit the road for a 12-hour overnight journey from the Lowcountry to Capitol Hill, determined to make it in time to vote on one of the most important bills for the American people. In pink heart pajamas and with our team by our side, we brought the road trip to life on social media, answering questions and sharing every stop along the way. We made a quick stop at Wawa for Red Bulls to keep our driver going. We also couldn’t pass up a trip to our old stomping grounds: Waffle House. Over hash browns and a chocolate chip waffle, the Waffle House staff asked what the One Big Beautiful Bill meant for them, and we told them plainly: no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and real money back in their pockets. We explained this is the largest tax cut in history for the middle and working class, putting hardworking Americans like them first. We rolled into D.C. just minutes before the first procedural vote on the One Big Beautiful Bill. One way or another, we were getting there, and we did. Now, President Trump has officially signed the bill into law, delivering on his promise and bringing real relief to hardworking Americans. | Fox News- We spoke to Fox News about the One Big Beautiful Bill and how Democrats voted against the working class. While they said no, we said yes, for the men and women who keep this country running. | ABC News 4 - We met with Charleston County Sheriff Carl Ritchie and his team to discuss priorities, see their equipment firsthand, and reinforce our commitment to helping them get the tools and support they need to keep the Lowcountry safe. | Fox Business - We joined Fox Business to make it clear: we're bringing law and order back. No sanctuary sheriffs. No sanctuary cities. Crime will be punished, not ignored. | 13th and Park - We joined Adam Goodman on the 13th and Park Podcast to share our story: from breaking barriers at The Citadel to becoming a leading voice in Congress. It’s a powerful conversation on resilience, leadership, and fighting for what’s right, no matter the cost. | The Brian Kilmeade Show on Fox Radio Daily - We joined the Brian Kilmeade Show to talk about Hakeem Jeffries’ endless “magic minute” speech: all talk, no substance. While Democrats stalled, we fought to pass President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, which protects and delivers for the American people. | The New York Times - Every flight got canceled, so we hit the road overnight in a van. Whatever it took, we were getting to D.C. to vote for the One Big Beautiful Bill. | 12,000 Constituents Helped We have resolved more than 12,000 constituent cases since 2021. We deliver answers, cut through red tape, and always put the Lowcountry first. | Hilton Head Island Airport We helped secure $300,000 for Hilton Head Island Airport’s Terminal Upgrade Project. This is an investment keeping the Lowcountry connected, competitive, and ready for growth. This is what it means to put the Lowcountry First. | Hilton Head Bridge Replacement A $120 million grant is now secured for the Hilton Head Bridge replacement, a critical infrastructure upgrade for the Lowcountry. Our office submitted a letter supporting this funding, and we’re excited to see real results for everyone who lives in or travels to Hilton Head. | Intern Coffee We caught up over coffee with our hardworking Charleston office interns. Interning in a congressional office isn’t always easy, but this dedicated group, made up of students from The Citadel, College of Charleston, Dartmouth, and Fairfield, shows up every day ready to serve. | Interested in applying to be a congressional intern?
