On June 16th, Kerlin Moreno-Orellana was at work, doing what millions of parents do every day to support their families, when he was detained and transferred to ICE custody.
Now, he's being held in a Louisiana detention center, separated from his wife and four children. His youngest is not even a year old.
Kerlin has lived in Jackson, Mississippi, for 16 years. He’s a community member, a father, and a provider. And now, he’s caught in the middle of a broken, racist deportation machine that punishes people not for who they are or what they’ve done — but simply for where they were born.
Add your name right now: Demand ICE release Kerlin and reunite him with his family. [[link removed]]

Let’s be clear: this is not public safety. This is not justice. Kerlin was arrested for allegedly dumping trash — at the direction of his boss — and while she was released the same day, Kerlin was handed over to ICE.
Same charge. Same incident. Different treatment.
This kind of racial bias isn’t new, but with Trump back in the White House, it’s escalating. ICE has ramped up aggressive, unconstitutional raids. They’re targeting parents and workers, terrorizing entire communities.
Two of Kerlin’s kids, 8 and 10 years old, stood in front of cameras last week and said it plainly: “We need our dad back.”
Let’s stand with them. Will you add your name to our petition today to demand Kerlin Moreno-Orellana’s release? [[link removed]]
