WHAT: Public Accuracy Tests of the equipment to be used in the Oakland County Absent Voter Counting Board (AVCB) as well as Early Voting for the August 5, 2025 elections
WHEN: AVCB: Monday, July 14, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
Early Voting: Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
WHERE: Oakland County Board of Canvassers Training Room Oakland County Courthouse 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI 48341 (use west entrance)
WHY: Public Accuracy Tests are conducted to verify the functionality, accuracy and security of the voting equipment to be used for the AVCB and early voting.
"The public testing of election equipment is done before every election, big and small, to ensure our elections are accurate and secure,” said Oakland County Clerk/ Register of Deeds Lisa Brown. “The public is welcome and encouraged to join us at these Public Accuracy Tests and observe firsthand some of the measures we take to safeguard our elections. Can’t make it this time? We’ll be conducting Public Accuracy Tests before the November election as well.”
The cities of Pontiac and Southfield have primary elections and voters in the City of Novi, Oakland Township, and Northville Public Schools have ballot proposals to consider.
