Friends,
I’m a massive fan of Brad Lander – New York City’s Comptroller, a candidate for Mayor in this year’s election and now an ally of Zohran Mamdani, the surprise Democratic nominee in the race.
Brad is a long-time friend from my days in NYC politics. He’s been a true friend of J Street, and I’m just thrilled that he’ll be joining us for a special live Word on the Street discussion tomorrow (register here).
For a long time, Brad has written and spoken thoughtfully – including at J Street’s 2019 Conference – about how to navigate Israel-Palestine divisions both within the Jewish community and in the broader progressive movement.
So it’s no surprise to me then that over the past few weeks – as the campaign for Mayor of New York thrust him into the spotlight – he’s modeled that kind of nuanced, clear and thoughtful engagement on a national stage.
Tomorrow, J Street Policy Chief Ilan Goldenberg and I will sit down to discuss the aftermath of Netanyahu’s latest trip to DC before Brad joins us to discuss his support for Mamdani, the reaction from our community and the best way forward to hold alliances together across Jewish and progressive communities in a polarizing time. You won’t want to miss it!
Register to join us at 4pm Eastern / 1pm Pacific >>

Friends, if you value J Street’s role in hosting these conversations as we work to inject nuance and compassion into debates too often driven by anger and partisanship, please consider chipping in to support our work in Washington, DC and communities across the country.
Every donation strengthens our ability to represent you and your values now and into the future >>
I hope to see you tomorrow!
Thank you, sincerely, for your support.
