By statute, the members are representatives of providers of mental health services, recipients of mental health services, agencies and occupations having a working involvement with mental health services and the general public.

The generosity of county employees through the Casual Day program led to significant contributions for the March and April Casual Day recipients. On Fridays or designated days, employees of Macomb County may, with department leader permission, wear casual clothing if they donate at least one dollar to the monthly charity. Since the Casual Day program was initiated 21 years ago, more than $720,000 has been given to local charities and nonprofits.
March contributions provided a $651.75 check to Leadership Macomb. Leadership Macomb seeks to produce a network of informed community leaders who understand the roles and relationships of people and systems that support and sustain our community, enable graduates and others to engage in civic leadership and strengthen organizational and community relationships.
In April, the Cassie Hines Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to guide individuals aged 18-40 with cancer to social support programs and services that can aid in both their emotional recovery and physical battle, received $635.75
Thank you to all participating county departments and employees!
