John,
Over the weekend, communities across Texas were devastated by extreme flooding that tragically took at least 104 lives — including those of multiple children and counselors at Camp Mystic — destroyed homes, and displaced families in one of the worst natural disasters the state has ever seen.
Our hearts go out to every person and community impacted by this disaster.
Once in a 100 year weather disasters no longer happen every 100 years, and it's everyday people across the country who are harmed the most and have to put the pieces of their community back together in the aftermath. Our nation and government should be united in wanting to prevent these at every turn.
While Justice Democrats will continue fighting for a Green New Deal, climate justice, and a federal response to climate change rooted in equity, right now communities on the ground need immediate support. Families, rescue groups, government agencies and community members across Texas are working around the clock to rescue, recover, and rebuild in the wake of this harrowing disaster.
That’s why we’re lifting up the following mutual aid efforts. Will you make a donation to support relief efforts in Texas today?

If you’re in a position to do so, please give what you can. Every contribution is a reminder of the strength of our solidarity in these difficult times.
Thank you,
Justice Democrats
PS: Ongoing rain and flash floods continue to pose a threat to some Texas communities. If you or someone you know lives in an impacted area, find resources to stay safe here.
