I woke up this morning with that gut-wrenching ache again.
The kind that tightens your chest before you even remember why.
Here in Texas, families are still waiting to recover the bodies of loved ones lost in the devastating floods—children, mothers, fathers, friends. Search and rescue teams are doing everything they can to bring people home. Some have waited days. Others are still waiting.
And every story brings with it the kind of sorrow that’s hard to carry—but impossible to ignore.
We’re not just praying for the families.
We’re praying for the pastors who sit beside them,
the churches who open their doors,
the neighbors who bring food and tears and hugs,
and the rescuers who won’t quit until the last one is found.
Because that’s what love does. It doesn’t let go.
In this kind of grief, there are no perfect words.
So I’m asking you, wherever you are today, pause.
Take one minute.
Pray for the ones still holding on.
Pray for the ones who’ve had to let go.
And let this moment move us not only to pray,
but to remember what it means to live with eternity in mind.
There’s nothing political about this.
Just the call to be people of compassion,
and people who still believe in a God who delivers.
We love Texas. We love the people who are grieving.
And today, CitizenGO is standing with every single one of them.
If you're praying with us today, would you let us know? Just hit reply and share a few words. We’d love to hear your prayer or simply see the name of someone you’re lifting up. We’re standing together—in faith, in grief, and in the comfort that only the Lord can give.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
Thank you for praying with me.
