Hi team,

It’s Dan Freeman, the new Litigation Director at the DNC. I’m a former Department of Justice attorney, and now I’m joining the DNC to help protect your right to vote.

Here’s my story:

I spent almost 15 years at DOJ as a voting rights lawyer. I was a civil servant, and I loved enforcing the Voting Rights Act on behalf of the American people. I helped stop voter purges in Alabama and gerrymandering in Texas. But everything changed when President Trump returned to the White House.

They forced out brilliant lawyers. Directed us to drop crucial cases. And now, DOJ is standing by as the Republican Party attacks a law that prevents trading massive campaign donations for political favors.

So here at the DNC, we’re stepping up where DOJ is refusing to act. We’re going to use legal action to enforce voting rights laws when states around the country violate them, and we’ll intervene and defend your right to vote when the Republican Party tries to make it harder for you to cast a ballot that will be counted.

That’s why I’m asking you to make a donation to help fund the DNC’s legal work today.

By donating $3 today you’ll help us make investments in legal work that will have an impact for years to come. You’ll also help us send a message to the Republican Party that any attempt to pick and choose their voters won’t go unanswered.

Chip in today to help fund the DNC’s legal work and fight for every vote to be counted. Too much is at stake to lose this battle →
