This isn’t a vision for America’s future. It’s pure corruption.

And the truth is, beyond revenge, there’s not much to this President’s agenda.

It’s tax breaks for the rich and rounding up immigrants. That’s it. That’s the whole program.

I wondered, as my Republican colleagues voted “aye” on this bill, did they stop to ask themselves:

Will my constituents be better off when the richest people in America get a tax break and middle-class families see their hospitals close and their health care premiums spike by thousands?

Will our children be healthier, our parents better cared for, our hospitals better funded, if we gut the program that covers millions of births and seniors in nursing homes?

Will America be more prosperous if we take a hatchet to renewable energy so we can pump more subsidies into oil and gas?
