Comment period opens for SEPA filings in climate rulemaking

Documents are available for review until Aug. 8

The Department of Commerce recently submitted documents required by the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) as part of adopting a climate element in the Growth Management Act. Specifically, Commerce proposed new rules for WAC 365-196 and WAC 365-195 to implement HB 1181 (Chapter 228, Laws of 2023). Relevant documents are available for review and comment until 5 p.m. Aug. 8.
