John,

Last week, the United States Supreme Court ruled against the president's decision to end the DACA program. That means DACA recipients can live without fear of deportation and can continue to renew their membership and work authorizations.

This ruling is a win for the nearly 800,000 Dreamers -- more than 6,000 of which call Kansas home. Dreamers were brought over as children and, often, our country is the only place they've ever called home. DACA recipients serve in our military, work in our hospitals, teach our children, and pay taxes. They belong here.

Dreamers are essential to our community and our economy and overturning the DACA program would cost Kansas more than $335.9 million per year.

But the ruling does not mean our work is done. For many dreamers, Kansas is the only home they’ve ever known. We must continue to fight for them.

We must stand together and show the current administration that DACA recipients belong here and are essential to our community and economy. If you agree, add your name today.

Thank you,

Laura
