Country First is launching a new series: Profiles in Cowardice—a running list of the most extreme officials and candidates actively working to weaken our democracy. These aren’t bold leaders. They’re conspiracy-peddling opportunists who would make the Founding Fathers lose sleep.

Today’s "honoree"? Kandiss Taylor.

She’s running for Congress in Georgia—and instead of offering serious solutions, she went full tinfoil hat and declared the recent Texas floods were “fake weather.”

Let’s be clear: lives were lost, homes were destroyed, and families were forever changed. To call it fake is not just deranged, it’s dangerous. This isn’t just a conspiracy theory—it’s a deliberate assault on truth, empathy, and democratic norms.

It’s one thing to disagree on policy. It’s another to insult the intelligence of voters and trample on the suffering of others for clicks.

If you live in Georgia, take notice. A candidate this unhinged has no business serving in Congress—frankly, not even on the ballot for local dog catcher.

But here’s the reality: we know she wouldn’t be the first extremist to get elected.

That’s why we’re taking action. Profiles in Cowardice will shine a light on the worst of the worst—so voters across the country know who’s trying to undermine democracy from the inside.

Because when leaders peddle lies, abandon principle, and traffic in chaos—they’re not patriots. They’re cowards.

Let’s call them what they are.
