Pray for Texas Communities in the Aftermath of Tragedy

Will you pray for the people of central Texas, where catastrophic flooding has taken the lives of more than 90 people?

Crisis-trained chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team are ministering in the area after heavy rains caused flash floods over the July Fourth weekend.

The Guadalupe River rose more than 20 feet in less than an hour, washing away homes and much of Camp Mystic, where more than two dozen girls and staff lost their lives. Search efforts are underway all across the region for those who are still missing.

Please pray that many people will find comfort in the knowledge that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1, NKJV). Ask God to strengthen rescuers as they work—and lift up our chaplain teams as they offer emotional and spiritual care to broken-hearted communities.

May God bless you,
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association

P.S. If you would like to share the hope of Jesus Christ with people who are grieving in crisis, you can make a secure gift here.

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
—John 14:27, NKJV
