Hello Friend,

It's a hot summer, and yet another reminder of why it's so important to keep fighting for a green economy here in New York. So we've got two important actions you can take right now!

First: After a hard-won campaign, we passed state legislation repealing the "100 foot rule," an added charge to your utility bill that forces you to fund fracked gas.

Now, we need to make sure the Governor signs it into law. Use Renewable Heat Now's call tool to make your voice heard today!

Call now!

Second, help us win a stronger environmental review of the massive Micron project here in Onondoga county.

Were given only 45 days to submit comments about the environmental impacts from the Micron chip fabrication project. SustainCNY recently submitted a petition with over 1,600 signatures calling for extending the public comment period and to hold additional public hearings. Currently, you must submit a comment by August 11, 2025.

This is our last chance to weigh in on Micron’s plans before they break ground. We encourage you to immediately send a comment to the lead agencies, requesting AT LEAST 120 days for our communities to review the Micron DEIS document.

Comments can be emailed to: [email protected]

To take in-person comments, OCIDA scheduled one day of public hearings at Liverpool High School on Thursday, July 24. Three sessions are scheduled: 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm, & 6pm-9pm
