John –
Millions of Americans – especially in communities across the Midwest – are reeling this week.
They are afraid of what the GOP's just-passed megabill means for their livelihoods and the neighbors' livelihoods. They're bracing for the impact of Medicaid cuts, the closures of rural hospitals, and the reduction in food assistance. They're wondering whether their air and water will be safe in the coming years.
And what did a sitting Republican Congressman – Derrick Van Orden, of Wisconsin's 3rd District – have to say about his vote to make life harder on his own constituents? He celebratorily re-tweeted how many people are going to lose healthcare, school meals, and SNAP benefits.
He took the post down soon after, but once the mask is off, you can't put it back on.
Republicans like Van Orden think they can gleefully celebrate right now, but they're in for a rude awakening come 2026.
Fortunately, the people of WI-03 have a chance to replace Van Orden with someone who actually cares about them, has lived their experiences, and shares their values: Rebecca Cooke.
Rebecca nearly unseated Van Orden in 2024 (she ran more than 4 percent ahead of Kamala Harris in the district), and she's already running strong to finish the job next year.
We need to make sure voters remember Van Orden's cruel vote and his mockery of those who will suffer for it – and that they know Rebecca stands to offer them real, compassionate, fair leadership.
Will you split a contribution right now between Rebecca's campaign and Midwest Majority PAC? This race is a must-win in the fight for House control, and every bit of help matters.
Thank you,
Midwest Majority PAC
