These headlines encompass the hard truth of our United States, friend.
Across the country, Americans celebrated the July 4th holiday this past weekend, but it is hard to believe in the freedom of our country when far too many people are killed by gun violence every single day .
While the booms of fireworks may dissipate, the sounds of gunshots will continue ringing out in our communities unless lawmakers finally take action to protect Americans from gun violence. Will you show lawmakers that Americans are done living in fear? Add your name to Brady’s urgent petition to Congress demanding common-sense gun violence prevention legislation NOW. >> [[link removed]]

Gun violence spikes during the summer and the Fourth of July is one of the deadliest days of the year for gun violence in this country.
It is at best disingenuous to describe our country as free when so many live in fear from losing their lives to gun violence, when parades and parties are marred with death and injury because politicians choose the gun lobby instead of everyday Americans’ right to life and liberty.
We do not have to live like this, friend.
We deserve to live in a country free from gun violence. We deserve real freedom – and it’s not a mystery how to accomplish it: Our lawmakers have the power to pass gun violence prevention legislation that is supported by the majority of Americans, regardless of party line. We have the power to free America from gun violence and we can’t stop fighting to do it. Will you raise your voice with me today and make it clear that Americans want to pass common sense gun violence prevention legislation? [[link removed]]
